Our Verdict: OKMEE Solar Fountain
Although this solar fountain isn’t really aesthetically pleasing because it’s basically a large piece of plastic, it does create an attractive fountain after it’s submerged in the water.
The wonderful thing is this product actually has an integrated nozzle. The nozzle provides 4 different spray types, and it’s ideal to add to a heated birdbath so you can enhance your yard with a delightful fountain with flowing water in the wintertime.
From an assembly standpoint, there isn’t really much to assemble when you take it out of the box because it’s already put together.
But you’ll need to replace the filter from time to time. And it requires unlocking, disassembling and reassembling the device. I’ll tell you all about it in the FAQ section below.
It’s also important to remember that this birdbath is made of PET plastic. It isn’t indestructible so you have to protect it with attention and care.
What could happen?
Well, if you aren’t careful, you could accidentally drop it on the ground or inside a resin or concrete birdbath and it could crack and shatter when least expected.
Remember, being gentle is always the best policy when placing this solar fountain inside of a birdbath, a swimming pool, or even a fish tank if that’s your thing.
This product ranks highly in many categories as you’re about to see. If you already own a heated birdbath, you’ll love this great addition that you can use in the summer, winter, or any other time of year for that matter.

Our Analysis, Comparisons & Test Results
At the moment, we’re about to change the pace of this review.
What do I mean?
Next, I will cover 6 key categories and provide analysis, comparisons, and test results regarding the OKMEE Solar Fountain.
Although it’s a slightly different type of product, I’ll tell you how it measures up against the other 7 products that I reviewed recently. And I’ll make sure I fill in all of the most important details.
The categories that I intend to cover include:
- Power Output
- Design
- Ease of Cleaning
- Ease of Assembly
- Aesthetics
- Material
Before we go further, I want you to know that this isn’t necessarily a perfect side-by-side comparison. Obviously, this is a solar fountain and not a solar bird bath.
But they both run on solar power and they all have similar characteristics. So, I added it to the mix nonetheless.
Power Output
From the perspective of the category Power Output, I ranked the OKMEE Solar Fountain with a perfect 10 out of 10 rating. This puts it in a four-way tie for 1st place with three other products.
Why such a high score?
Well, the thing I like best about it is the solar panel absorbs 100% full energy from the sun. And this powerful energy from mother nature is converted into 2.2 W of power.
That’s a lot of energy for such a small device!
But even better…
The power output is very strong and stable. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be able to pump all of that water through the system and push it up through the fountain.
How the OKMEE Solar Fountain stacks up in the power output ratings:
Design
For the Design, I ranked this product with an 8 out of 10 rating. This rating places it in a three-way tie for 5th place amongst all the products that I reviewed.
How does it stack up?
Simply put, the overall design is perfect for this product. It’s small enough that it fits in average sized birdbaths. But it’s large enough so you can use it as a bubbler in a swimming pool, a fish tank, and other bodies of water.
Guess what else?
They designed it with a 4-in-1 nozzle. This nozzle is pretty snazzy because it has a bubbler and three different spraying modes. You can adjust the height of the spray from low, medium, and high.
And guess what else?
This product also contains a filtration box and a pump that has built in water shortage protection. So, you’ll never have to worry about the pump shorting out on you.
I knocked two points off of the total because it’s made of plastic. It’s high-quality PET plastic, yet it’s still capable of cracking if you accidentally drop it.
How the OKMEE Solar Fountain stacks up in the design ratings:
Ease of Cleaning
For Ease of Cleaning, I rated this product with a 90 out of 100.
This rating puts this product in the middle of a three-way tie for 1st with two other exciting solar bird baths.
Why is it so easy to clean?
Cleaning the outside is simple. It’s one of the easiest things you’ll ever do because it’s a matter of simply taking it out of the water and wiping it down.
But…
Cleaning the outside is only part of the cleaning process. You’ll also have to empty the filtration box to remove leaves, dust, and dirt that could be blocking the filter.
Don’t worry…
In the FAQ section below…
I provide detailed instructions to teach you how to clean and replace the filter. But, because some people had problems with filtration cleaning, I shaved off one point from the total rating.
How the OKMEE Solar Fountain stacks up in the ease of cleaning ratings:
Ease of Assembly
In the category titled Ease of Assembly, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to know that I ranked this product with a 90 out of 100. This places it in a four-way tie for 2nd with one other product.
Why is it so easy to assemble?
Honestly, there really isn’t much involved with the assembly process.
First, the nozzle itself can be adjusted to four different positions. It sprays on low, medium, or high settings. Or, you can turn on the bubbler.
But as far as assembly goes… None of the accessories are separate. They are already put together when you take the product out of the box.
I wouldn’t call that assembly at all. The closest thing is adjusting the settings to your personal preference. So, there’s no need to worry about putting anything together.
Second, there’s a lock to turn on at the bottom of the solar fountain. It’s very easy to do and it doesn’t require any assembly at all.
Although,
You’ll need to clean the filter from time to time. This is the closest thing to assembly that this product requires.

How the OKMEE Solar Fountain stacks up in the ease of assembly ratings:
Aesthetics
I ranked this product in the Aesthetics category with a 60 out of 100. This rating actually puts the product in last place.
Is that so? Let me explain.
This is a solar fountain. This isn’t a solar birdbath designed to look beautiful in your backyard. It isn’t a decoration that needs to look attractive.
What is it?
It creates an aesthetically pleasing fountain of water or bubbling spout that looks incredibly attractive when the fountain is turned on.
But that isn’t precisely what this category is about.
Ultimately, this is a black disc made of plastic. It looks perfectly fine for its designed purpose. But it doesn’t possess any real kind of beauty by any stretch of the imagination.
And remember, this is perfectly okay. It’s not ugly, but it certainly isn’t pretty either.
But it does create a gorgeously pleasing fountain that I know you’re going to love.

OKMEE Solar Fountain FAQs
How High Does The OKMEE Solar Fountain Spray?
So, you’re curious about how high the solar fountain from OKMEE can spray. It’s something I usually wonder about too whenever I’m considering a new solar fountain for one of my birdbaths.
From a height standpoint, this birdbath can definitely create a pretty effective fountain. The maximum spout height is anywhere from 19.7 inches to 27.5 inches. That’s more than 2 feet at its highest level.
Pretty great, right?
Can You Provide Detailed Instructions Showing How To Clean & Maintain The Filter?
Are you having a tough time figuring out how to clean the filter? Unfortunately, some people just don’t have a knack for this type of maintenance. It isn’t a fault or flaw on your part if you just don’t seem to get it at first.
Here’s the best way to clean the filter on this product. It consists of the following directions:
- Turn over the OKMEE Solar Fountain so the bottom of the device is facing up
- There is a lock on the bottom. Lift up the lock and then turn it to the side for 90°. After you turn it, let the lock go.
- Next, you’ll see the nozzle on top of the device. Turn the nozzle to the right.
- The sequence of turning the lock and turning the nozzle will unlock the device.
- Once it’s unlocked, you can disassemble the filter, remove the dirt and debris, and also remove the grimy filter cotton.
- After the cotton is removed, you can replace it with new cotton for the filter. This will create a much better filtration effect.
Will The OKMEE Solar Fountain Work During Cold Winter Weather?
No matter what anyone tries to tell you, the OKMEE Solar Fountain will have no problem working during the cold winter weather months. The only caveat is that it needs ample amounts of sunlight to power the device.
So…
As long as the sun is out and shining brightly, the 100% full solar panel will power the device.
As a suggestion, I recommend using this solar fountain in conjunction with a solar heated birdbath. With heated water flowing freely, you’ll never have to worry about ice developing and gumming up the works.
Crystal-clear unfrozen water will flow through the solar fountain with the greatest of ease. It will work perfectly as long as the fountain is placed in direct sunlight and you’ll be happy to enjoy the overall result during the cold weather months when summer feels like it’s such a long way off.
And best of all?
This pump starts working automatically as soon as the sun comes out. It will literally turn on and begin bubbling or spouting water within three seconds.
